There are many engineering variables to consider when designing a pile application. Piles derive much of their performance from interacting with the soils they are driven into, so the geotechnical aspect of the design is critical. Soil layers can vary greatly on a jobsite. To remove any doubt that your piling will reach the levels needed to carry the loading, pile points and splicers or other accessories can be essential, for that extra peace of mind.
